ARLINGTON, Texas — A Christmas restaurant in Arlington may be saying, “let it no” this Christmas season.
Campo Verde was initially set to shut down in January, but new owners intervened, leading to a planned reopening in the summer of 2025. However, the restaurant will now close on Dec. 24.
The place was rescued and brought back to life by its owners: Chef Mouhssine “Moose” Benhamacht and his partner Liesl Best.
The restaurant, situated at 2918 W Pioneer Pkwy in Arlington, has long been a part of many families’ holiday traditions.
The restaurant said on its website, “Since the early eighties, we’ve been more than just a Tex-Mex restaurant—we’ve been a destination. A place where families gather, stories are shared, and sizzling plates hit the table with a little extra magic. From our famous ceiling train and year-round holiday décor to bold, house-made dishes served with heart, we do everything with personality—and plenty of cheese.”
The restaurant is set to open with a fresh concept in 2026.
