Hotel evacuated in southwest Lubbock for active carbon monoxide readings

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Fire Department is currently on the scene of a carbon monoxide leak at Hampton Inn & Suites.

According to a social media post, crews entered the building and found readings of CO. The building has been evacuated and no injuries are reported at this time.

Crews pinpointed the leak coming from the mechanical room where power has been isolated. Firefighters are actively working to ventilate the building.

The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office has been called to the scene to investigate.
