The Madison County Lady Raiders basketball team had split results last week in their first two region games of the season.
A Dec. 9 meeting with East Forsyth at home saw the Lady Raiders fall 47-41.
The team rebounded in a big way, however, in their next game against Walnut Grove, defeating the Warriors 51-35 on Dec. 12. The 16-point win marks the team’s second biggest win of the season.
Madison County will now prepare to host its Red Raider Christmas Classic tournament on Dec. 19 and 20, followed by visiting Hart County for the McDonald’s Shootout on Dec. 29 and 30.
The Lady Raiders will resume their regular season on Jan. 3 at 3 p.m., hosting Hart County.
