Could Texas A&M get one of its best weapons back in time for the Aggies’ first-round College Football Playoff matchup against Miami?

Star running back Le’Veon Moss, who missed A&M’s final six games, was listed as questionable in the initial injury report for Saturday’s game. Moss ran for 389 yards on 80 carries in the Aggies’ first six games before he suffered an ankle injury against Florida on Oct. 11. It’s been a difficult run of injury luck for Moss, who was leading the SEC in rushing in 2024 prior to tearing his ACL and MCL last November against South Carolina.

When asked about Moss’ status, coach Mike Elko didn’t give away much.

“We are kind of in wait-and-see mode with that one, so we will see where that goes,” he said on Monday.

Since Moss went down, Rueben Owens II has been the feature back for A&M. Owens has totaled 618 yards and five touchdowns on 112 carries. The Aggies have also leaned on Amari Daniels, E.J. Smith and Jamarion Morrow to help power a rushing offense that ranks 25th in the country at 192.7 yards per game.

Also of note, linebacker Scooby Williams was listed as probable after missing the Aggies’ final four games with an injury. He has 18 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and an interception in six games this season.

Safety Bryce Anderson, who suffered a head injury against Notre Dame and returned to play Florida, was listed as probable. He hasn’t played since that game against the Gators so he could maintain his redshirt status, but players can participate in the postseason and not burn their redshirt in the process. Anderson has 10 tackles in four games.

Miami will also appears to be on its way to getting a key contributor back.

Star defensive back Keionte Scott was listed as probable, a significant development given he hasn’t played since Nov. 15 due to a foot injury. Scott stuffed the stat sheet in his first nine games prior to his injury, totaling 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception. His 90.3 defensive grade on Pro Football Focus is fourth among cornerbacks with 100 or more snaps.

Scott’s teammate in the defensive backfield, Damari Brown was listed as questionable. He has 24 tackles and a pass breakup on the season.
