The Plano East boys basketball team used a 20-10 fourth quarter run to pull away from Denton Braswell on Tuesday to earn a 58-43 non-district win over the Bengals.
A strong start set the tone for the 10th consecutive win for the Panthers (13-3).
Plano East led 20-13 at the end of the first quarter, 30-28 at halftime, 38-33 at the end of the third quarter before creating separation in the fourth quarter.
The Panthers won the game despite not having anyone finish with more than nine points. Moustafa Abualneel led the way with nine points, followed by seven each from Dylan Glass and RJ Robinson.
Braswell’s Jacori Jones led all scorers with 11 points.
Tuesday’s win comes four days after Plano East rallied for a 50-48 victory over McKinney Boyd.
The Panthers outscored the Broncos 15-9 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win after trailing 39-34 at the end of the third quarter.
Sophomore Alexander Brewington netted 11 points for Plano East, followed by 10 from senior point guard Jayden Parker.
