Marina police say a man was extradited from Texas to face charges relating to multiple sexual assaults of underage victims.

A complaint was initially filed against 65-year-old Jose Guadalupe Reyes back in October, but police say that Reyes had moved to Texas when an arrest warrant was obtained.

With the help of the US Marshall’s Service, Reyes was tracked down and taken into custody in Dallas, Texas, on November 26.

He was extradited and booked into Monterey County Jail on Tuesday, per Marina police.

Police say the alleged sexual assaults occured over several years, but investigators could not disclose the exact timeframe.

All the victims were under the age of 18, and some were under the age of 14, per police.

Reyes was booked for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 by force, lewd and lascivious acts with a child age 14 or 15, and aggravated sexual assault of a minor under 14, per the Monterey County Jail log.

His bail was set at $4,520,000, per the Monterey County Jail log.

Reyes was arraigned on Wednesday and entered a not guilty plea, per Monterey County Superior Court records.
