The matchup involves the Miami Hurricanes (10-2) visiting the Texas A&M Aggies (11-1). Kickoff from Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, is scheduled for noon ET and will be televised on ABC and ESPN.

Miami is the 10th seed; A&M is seeded seventh. The winner moves on to face the defending champions and No. 1 seed Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, on New Year’s Eve at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Miami leads the all-time series vs. Texas A&M 3-2. The last meeting took place in 2023 with the Canes rolling to a 48-33 home victory as 2.5-point underdogs. The Aggies prevailed the season before 17-9 as 5.5-point home favorites.

The Aggies dominated the first meeting in a 70-14 rout in South Florida in 1944. The Hurricanes took the next 2, sweeping a home-and-away series in 2007 and ’08 — 34-17 at home and 41-23 in College Station, respectively.

Texas A&M won its first 11 games this season before falling at rival Texas 27-17 Nov. 28 — the Aggies were 2.5-point road favorites. A&M is 5-7 against the spread (ATS) with an 8-4 Over/Under (O/U) record.

Miami opened the season 5-0 before getting upset as 10.5-point home favorites by the Louisville Cardinals 24-21 Oct. 17. The Canes rebounded with a 42-7 cakewalk vs. the Stanford Cardinals but were upset the next week as 10-point road favorites at the SMU Mustangs 26-20 in OT.

The Hurricanes followed by winning their final 5 games and finished 7-5 ATS with a 5-7 O/U mark.
