Regis was tied for the team lead with six assisted tackles when he exited the game. The Hurricanes had 85 yards rushing on four yards per carry as the game entered the fourth quarter.

The former three-star recruit from La Porte High School has played in 50 games at College Station since being recruited by former Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher’s staff. Regis has been a staple on A&M’s defensive front, collecting 67 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 1½ sacks over his first four seasons. The senior has set career-highs in tackles (43) and sacks (two) this year, while also contributing to a run defense that’s allowing 127.1 yards per game.

The Aggies are attempting to advance to the CFP quarterfinal, where No. 2 Ohio State awaits in the Cotton Bowl.
