EUGENE, Ore. (KCBD) – After two weeks of speculation, it’s now official. The No. 4 Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-1) will take on the No. 5 Oregon Ducks (12-1) in the Orange Bowl Jan. 1 in Miami, Fla.
The Ducks officially punched their ticket for the 2,700-mile trip with a 51-34 win over the 12th-seeded James Madison Dukes at Autzen Stadium Saturday night.
Oregon held a 6-3 lead late in the first half until a touchdown run from quarterback Dante Moore kicked off 28 unanswered points. The green team was already off a 34-3 lead before half.
The Orange Bowl kicks off 11 a.m. at Hard Rock Stadium. KCBD will be in Miami to provide complete coverage of the Big 12 Champion Red Raiders.
