Kentucky returned to the national championship match for just the second time and the first since winning the 2020-21 title when the Wildcats outlasted Wisconsin in five sets on Thursday night’s semifinal, 12-25, 25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 15-13. Eva Hudson came up big for Kentucky with 29 kills while Brooklyn DeLeye contributed 15 kills, five blocks, and 14 digs. Molly Tuozzo made 17 digs, and Kassie O’Brien set up 54 assists.

Texas A&M, in its first Final Four, swept one of the two No. 1 seeds that reached Kansas City when it took down Pitt 29-27, 25-21, 25-20 on Thursday night. Kyndal Stowers logged 16 kills, and Logan Lednicky added 14, while Maddie Waak served three aces to go with her 48 assists. Ifenna Cos-Okpalla put down five blocks, and Ava Underwood made eight digs.

Kentucky has won four straight against the Aggies, including a four-set road victory on Oct. 8. The Wildcats, who have won 27 straight matches, lead Texas A&M in the all-time series 17-10.
