Now that the Texas A&M Aggies’ season has come to an end at the hands of the Miami Hurricanes in the first round of the College Football Playoffs, we are starting to see some coaching changes being announced. It was already known that offensive coordinator Collin Klein would be moving on to take over as the next head coach of the Kansas State Wildcats, and now it appears that he’s going to take one of his former co-workers with him.

According to multiple reports, Texas A&M co-defensive coordinator Jordan Peterson is expected to follow Klein to Kansas State and be named the defensive coordinator. Peterson has been in College Station for two years now, working as the co-DC and defensive backs coach.

Before his time at Texas A&M, Peterson spent a lot of time in Kansas, working on the Kansas Jayhawks’ defensive staff as a coach in the defensive secondary. He came back to the Aggies as a former player, with a three-year career as a cornerback from 2006-2009.
