Charges for those arrested include assault on a public servant, resisting arrest and criminal trespassing, according to the Arlington Police Department.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Multiple people were arrested Saturday during the UIL State Championship games at AT&T Stadium in Arlington after several incidents broke out inside, police say.
According to the Arlington Police Department, several physical disturbances took place during the games Saturday, with police and staff having to respond to multiple incidents involving several groups of attendees.
“Due to numerous disturbances and the large number of individuals involved, the decision was made to clear the affected sections to ensure the safety of all guests,” police said in a statement.
Multiple arrests were made for a number of charges, including fighting in public, assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing and interference with public duties, police said. Several others were arrested on active felony and misdemeanor warrants as well.
