LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Authorities are investigating a report of a kidnapping that is said to have happened near the Lubbock airport on Saturday.
The initial report said there was a kidnapping at Love’s Truck Stop. The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed its helicopter was involved in the investigation.
DPS reports the suspected car was found, and the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation.
Authorities have not confirmed an actual kidnapping as of Sunday night, and it is not yet clear whether anyone was arrested or if any child was involved.
