A rollover crash knocked down an overhead traffic sign and closed a portion of Interstate 10 in Central El Paso on Sunday night, according to Texas Department of Transportation.
Two people were transported to a hospital with undisclosed injuries following the crash, which occurred about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, on eastbound I-10 near Paisano Drive, El Paso police said in a media message.

TxDOT highway cameras showed a heavily damaged freeway signage and what appeared to be a vehicle off the highway on Gateway East Boulevard.

The eastbound lanes of I-10 are closed as well as Gateway East Boulevard and Paisano Drive and the U.S. 54 North and South ramps onto I-10 at the Spaghetti Bowl, the transportation department reported.
TxDOT and contractor crews are dealing with the damage to the overhead sign bridge and a long term closure is expected until further notice. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays.
