EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A fiery vehicle rollover in East-Central El Paso is impacting traffic on Sunday evening, Dec. 21 and has sent three people to the hospital, including one person with serious injuries.

The crash happened at about 8:15 p.m. along Interstate 10 East near Geronimo, an El Paso Fire spokesperson said.

El Paso Police said they responded to the crash and are investigating.

A Fire Department spokesperson said one person was transported with serious injuries (Code 3) and two others were transported with non-life-threatening injuries (Code 1).

A vehicle caught fire but has since been put out by fire crews, a Fire Department spokesperson said. The vehicle appears to have rolled off the highway and landed on Gateway East.

The Texas Department of Transportation says that all lanes of eastbound traffic on I-10 are closed because of the crash. Clearing time is until further notice.

Gateway East and the U.S. 54 North and South interchange ramps to I-10 East are also closed.

The Fire Department said it has crews on both the interstate and Gateway East.
