WOODROW, Texas (KCBD) – The dream season continues for the Lubbock-Cooper Liberty Patriots, as they improved to 7-1, 2-0 with a 65-3 blowout win over the Borger Bulldogs.
The Patriots struck early when RB Talon Wilcox punched right through the Borger defense for the 7-0 lead. After the Bulldogs answered with a field goal, Liberty QB Colton Bichard held onto the ball and scored from 50 yards out to make it 14-3. The Pats added another touchdown shortly thereafter when Pierce Fioroni successfully returned a Borger punt all the way into the end zone.
Lubbock-Cooper Liberty will be off next week, but will return to action Thursday, Oct. 30 where they will face the Estacado Matadors (6-2) as part of KCBD’s “Thursday Night Throwdown”, which will be broadcast on the CW Network.
