According to police, the pedestrian was trying to cross lanes of traffic outside of a crosswalk when a car collided into her.
PLANO, Texas — The Plano Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash that happened Monday evening after a car collided into a pedestrian trying to cross the street.
According to police, the pedestrian, a woman in dark clothing, was trying to cross lanes of traffic at West Park Boulevard, east of Preston Road, outside of a crosswalk. At that point, a car reportedly collided into the woman in the roadway.
The driver remained at the scene, police said. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital by Plano Fire Rescue. The extent of her injuries aren’t yet known.
Police say information shows no indication of intoxication or speed being a factor.
The Plano Police Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
