Boogies, which sits in the former Whippersnapper space off Henderson at 1806 McMillan Ave comes by way of This And That Hospitality (Double D’s, High Fives) with the assistance of Take a Break founder, DJ Jake Gatewood. The venue has two faces. One is a sexy, low-lit cocktail bar with great sound and vinyl playlists, like a listening room. The other is something akin to Studio 54 for a new generation. After 10 p.m., the dance floor opens up and the space gets filled to the brim with folks just looking to dance themselves clean.
