LUBBOCK, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Texas Tech Red Raiders are ranked in the top 25 in football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball. They are the only school in the country with this stat.

Starting with football, the No. 4 Red Raiders prepare for the College Football Playoff, as they face the No. 5 Oregon Ducks in the Orange Bowl. Texas Tech is currently 12-1 on the season, they have three wins against ranked opponents, as well as winning the Big 12 Championship. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. It can be watched on ESPN.

Both men’s and women’s basketball teams are coming off huge upsets this weekend. The women’s team upset former No. 15 Baylor on the road, making it their first win against the Bears since 2011. They jump to No. 21 in the AP Poll and are currently 14-0. They finish 2025 at home against UCF on New Year’s Eve, with tipoff set for 6 p.m.

The Men are coming off a big upset of the former No. 3 Duke Blue Devils 82-81 in Madison Square Garden. The Red and Black got their first win against a ranked opponent on the season. They leap to No. 15 in the AP Poll and are currently 9-3 on the season. They also finish 2025 at home, as they face Winthrop on Sunday at 1 p.m.
