AUSTIN (KXAN) \u2014 Central Texas\u00a0Food\u00a0Bank\u00a0and\u00a0Austin Pets Alive!\u00a0will host a drive-up\u00a0food distribution\u00a0the day after Christmas.<\/p>\n
According to a press release from APA!, anyone living in Austin or Travis County is welcome to drive up for food for the people and pets in their households. It said the two nonprofits will have enough food for around 250 households.<\/p>\n
PREVIOUS: Central Texas Food Bank, Austin Pets Alive! team up for Thanksgiving food drive <\/a><\/p>\n The distribution will take place Friday, Dec. 26, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Delco Activity Center at 4601 Pecan Brook Dr., Austin, TX 78724.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for APA! noted pets do not need to be present to receive pet\u00a0food.<\/p>\n \u201cThis\u00a0food distribution\u00a0in Travis County underscores the enduring partnership between CTFB and APA!, providing essential nourishment and safeguarding the well-being of people and pets,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n The event comes just weeks after a similar drive during the Thanksgiving holiday<\/a>, where the food bank reported serving an estimated 750 households.<\/p>\n \u201cHunger doesn\u2019t take a holiday and neither do we,\u201d Sari Vatske, president and CEO of Central Texas\u00a0Food\u00a0Bank, said at the time. \u201cEvery turkey distributed represents the belief that no table should remain empty during the holidays.\u201d<\/p>\n More than $200,000 raised for Central Texas Food Bank during 2025 Friendsgiving Challenge: <\/a><\/p>\n
