It\u2019s known for being a Republican stronghold and the home base of conservative Attorney General Ken Paxton. It\u2019s also home to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keranews.org\/news\/2024-11-05\/collin-county-democrat-mihaela-plesa-house-district-70\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rep. Mihaela Plesa from Plano<\/a>, the first Democratic state representative elected to the Texas statehouse from Collin County in 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>Jenny Colombo stood by a traffic light in Plano holding a rainbow trimmed sign that said \u201cThe Emperor Has No Clothes,\u201d referencing a children\u2019s story where people were too afraid to tell an emperor his clothing was invisible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel President Trump is the epitome of that character,\u201d Colombo said. \u201cEverybody is just walking around him, everybody can see what\u2019s going on, and they\u2019re all just supporting him blindly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Colombo has lived in Plano for 35 years.
