shooting in EaDo<\/a> that killed a man on Wednesday.<\/p>\nSebastian Jimenez, 33, was identified as the deceased man by the Houston Police Department on Friday.<\/p>\n
Police responded to reports of the shooting Wednesday evening on Scott Street where they found Jimenez with a gunshot wound. Paramedics took Jimenez to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
As police investigated further, they learned the shooting happened on nearby Denver Street. They said the shooter remained on scene and claimed self-defense after Jimenez pulled a knife on him.<\/p>\n
After presenting the evidence to the Harris County District Attorney\u2019s Office, it was determined to refer the case to a Harris County Grand Jury.<\/p>\n
