Texas A&M’s offensive line will see several departures over the next few weeks, including left tackle Trey Zuhn III, right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams, and right tackle Dametreous Crownover, who will all likely be selected during the second day of the 2026 NFL Draft. For the first time in two seasons, the Aggie O-line will face a significant reshuffle in 2026.

Outside of elevating several players, including tackle Robert Bourdon and Lamont Rogers, paired with guard Ashton Funk and Blake Ivy, who are all talented enough to compete for a starting spot, head coach Mike Elko and offensive line coach Adam Cushing will need to land at least two offensive linemen from the transfer portal, which shouldn’t be impossible given the bevy of talent that plans to enter the portal.

With the transfer portal set to open on Friday, January 2, another LSU offensive lineman, joining guards Carius Curne and former Texas A&M commit Coen Echols, has entered his name. Redshirt sophomore left tackle Tyree Adams is the latest portal addition and could be an immediate plug-and-play option to replace Trey Zuhn next season.

In eight games during the 2025 regular season, Adams did not allow a sack, but did surrender 11 pressures, while his worst game in pass protection came against Ole Miss on the road. Still, according to Pro Football Focus, Adams earned 70-plus pass protection grades, and, like Zuhn, stands at 6’7″ with the athleticism to move well in the pocket.

Adams, like most starting-level offensive linemen, will demand a large asking price, but if the Aggies want to return to the College Football Playoff next season, taking big swings in the transfer portal is an absolute must.

Need a news break?
