SAN ANTONIO \u2013 Thousands of people marched through downtown San Antonio on Saturday as part of the nationwide \u201cNo Kings\u201d protest against the Trump administration.<\/p>\n
The mostly peaceful protest started at Travis Park with remarks from U.S. Reps. Joaquin Castro, D-San Antonio, and Greg Casar, D-Austin, and state Sen. Roland Gutierrez, D-San Antonio, among other Democrats.<\/p>\n
There, people held signs reading \u201cAll power to the people,\u201d \u201cNo Kings,\u201d \u201cWe the people,\u201d and \u201cDemocracy yes! Dictators no!\u201d<\/p>\n

The group later marched through downtown, chanting \u201chey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
>> \u2018No Kings\u2019 graffiti targets church, neighborhoods on North Side<\/a><\/p>\n Across the nation, this was the second \u201cNo Kings\u201d protest and third mass movement against the Trump administration this year, according to the Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n It comes amid an intensifying conflict between federal law enforcement and protesters nationwide.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, Gov. Greg Abbott decided to send the National Guard to Austin ahead of the protest, which he said was \u201cantifa-linked.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTexas will deter criminal mischief and work with local law enforcement to arrest anyone engaging in acts of violence or damaging property,\u201d Abbott said in a statement.<\/p>\n Thousands of people marched through downtown San Antonio on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, as part of the nationwide \u201cNo Kings\u201d protest against the Trump administration. (KSAT)<\/p>\n Some conservative politicians have condemned the protests as \u201cHate America\u201d rallies, while others say that they represent a \u201cpatriotic\u201d fight for First Amendment rights.<\/p>\n Protests were planned for more than 2,500 locations nationwide.<\/p>\n The last \u201cNo Kings\u201d protest took place on June 14 in thousands of cities and towns across the country, including San Antonio, in large part to protest a military parade in Washington that marked the Army\u2019s 250th anniversary and coincided with Trump\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n
