In celebration of its 40th anniversary year, CAM invited curators of past CAM Perennial exhibitions<\/a> to nominate artists from their regions for the 2026 exhibition. Since 2012, the organization has invited guest curators from outside of San Antonio to foster exchange between cities and raise the profile of San Antonio artists. Past curators include Kevin Burns<\/a>, former El Paso Museum of Art curator; Lee Hallman<\/a>, former associate curator at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth; Doreen A. Rios<\/a>, an independent curator in Mexico City; and Christopher Blay<\/a>, Director of Public Programs at the National Juneteenth Museum.<\/p>\n CAM board members Casie Lomeli and Leslie Moody Castro<\/a>, an independent curator and Glasstire contributor, then selected the eight artists from among the nominees, and will curate the exhibition<\/a>, which will take place at five San Antonio venues: Casa Pink, Outrider Gallery, Rojo Gallery<\/a>, Sala Diaz<\/a>, and Un Grito Gallery<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a press release, CAM states, \u201cThe inclusion of multiple venues, two curators, and artists from many reaches of our region highlights a commitment to collaboration, dialogue, and honoring the multiplicity of perspectives that define contemporary art in Texas and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"Eight](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/CAM-perennial-artists-2026-600x360.jpg\")
