A 25-year-old Tarrant County woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty in a human trafficking case involving multiple victims, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n
The sentence was handed down in state court following an investigation into the exploitation of underage and young female victims.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors said Emily Hutchins<\/a> recruited girls, arranged and managed online prostitution advertisements, and forced the victims to engage in sex acts for money. Authorities said Hutchins kept most of the proceeds and used threats and control to maintain the operation.<\/p>\n Investigators said<\/a> the case highlighted ongoing concerns about human trafficking in North Texas and the use of online platforms to exploit victims.
