Two newly appointed commissioners will be sworn in at the Port of Corpus Christi on Jan. 6 and Jan. 7 as the commission also prepares to select a new chairman.<\/p>\n

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 The Port of Corpus Christi<\/a> is preparing to swear in two newly appointed commissioners next week, marking a leadership transition for the port\u2019s governing board.<\/p>\n

Michael Hunter<\/a> is scheduled to take the oath of office next Tuesday, and Amanda Torres<\/a> will be sworn in the following day. Port officials said additional details about both ceremonies are expected to be released ahead of the scheduled dates.<\/p>\n

The appointments come as the Port Commission also prepares to select a new chairman later this month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Current Chairman David Engel has reached his term limit and is expected to step down from the role.<\/p>\n

Officials said they will provide more information on the upcoming ceremonies and leadership changes as it becomes available.<\/p>\n
