{"id":109933,"date":"2026-01-04T00:18:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T00:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/109933\/"},"modified":"2026-01-04T00:18:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T00:18:08","slug":"protesters-in-dallas-join-national-call-against-u-s-military-action-in-venezuela","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/109933\/","title":{"rendered":"Protesters in Dallas join national call against U.S. military action in Venezuela"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A coalition of grassroots organizations rallied at Main Street Garden Park in downtown Dallas on Saturday evening, joining protests across the country against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-venezuela-nicolas-maduro-captured-transition\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">U.S. military action in Venezuela<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers said the event, part of a national &#8220;No War on Venezuela&#8221; day of action, was in response to recent airstrikes and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/venezuela-nicolas-maduro-cilia-flores-new-york-narco-terrorism\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">capture of Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro<\/a> by U.S. forces.<\/p>\n<p>Protesters called for an end to military escalation and demanded Maduro&#8217;s release. They also criticized rising defense spending, pointing to the deployment of the USS Gerald R.
