FULSHEAR, Texas (KTRK) — Running is a ritual for Allison Rogerson. She calls it the quiet before the storm.<\/p>\n

“I run alone. I don’t run in the pack. It’s just for me,” Rogerson shared.<\/p>\n

The Fulshear woman turned to running to carve out time for herself beyond the world of diapers and bottles. Rogerson is a mom of six, four of them are quadruplet boys.<\/p>\n

“I needed something for myself,” Rogerson said. “It seemed like something I could do for myself that was different.”<\/p>\n

Rogerson embraced the sport, tackling Marathons, Triathlons, and IronMan competitions. She confesses there are days she doesn’t feel like running, but she takes pride in pushing through those challenging moments.<\/p>\n

“It’s a hard thing sometimes. Some days I don’t want to do it. Some days it’s cold, or it’s hot. It’s raining, and I don’t want to, but it’s that hard thing and the satisfaction at the end of it that you did the hard thing,” Rogerson said.<\/p>\n

Rogerson’s next big race is the Aramco Houston Half Marathon.<\/p>\n

We asked her how easy is the race compared to raising six children. Her response, “It’s a walk in the park.”<\/p>\n
