HOUSTON \u2013 Three Kings Day – or D\u00eda de los Reyes – is celebrated on January 6, and for many families across Houston, it\u2019s one of the most meaningful (and delicious) traditions of the year.<\/p>\n

At the center of the celebration is the Rosca de Reyes – a soft, ring-shaped cake decorated with colorful candied fruit and baked with a tiny baby figurine hidden inside. Families gather to slice into the cake together, and finding the baby comes with a big responsibility.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because tradition says whoever finds the baby is in charge of hosting the tamale party on February 2, known as Candlemas (D\u00eda de la Candelaria). This celebration keeps the festivities going well into the new year.<\/p>\n

To get ready for Three Kings Day, Arandas Bakery is gearing up for one of its busiest times of the year. With six locations across Houston, Arandas is a go-to stop for families picking up their Rosca ahead of the holiday.
