It\u2019s the college\u2019s 13th national recognition for supporting veterans and military-connected students \n<\/p>\n
Collin College has been named one of the 2025 Best for Vets Colleges by Military Times, earning a spot among the top institutions nationwide for serving veterans and their families.<\/p>\n
This year, Collin College ranked No. 70 out of 357 colleges and universities across the United States that participated in the annual survey. Within Texas, the college placed seventh overall and was named the top-ranked community college in the state for veterans.<\/p>\n

What The Ranking Measures<\/p>\n
The Best for Vets designation is based on a combination of publicly available data from the U.S. Departments of Education, Veterans Affairs and Defense, along with detailed survey responses from participating institutions. Rankings consider both academic outcomes and military-specific support, including completion and retention rates, graduation and persistence metrics, financial assistance, admissions policies and the availability of veteran-focused services.<\/p>\n
Supporting Veterans On Campus<\/p>\n
During the 2024\u201325 academic year, Collin College served more than 2,700 veterans and military-connected students. The district provides dedicated support through its Veterans Resource Centers<\/a>, where students can access information on financial aid, VA education benefits, personal counseling and involvement in organizations such as Student Veterans of America.<\/p>\n A Growing Academic Footprint<\/p>\n Collin College serves approximately 60,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 200 degree and certificate programs.
