Lubbock food lovers, mark your calendars. Big Wick\u2019s<\/a> has officially announced the return of one of the tastiest community events on the South Plains<\/a>–the 2nd Annual Carne Guisada Cook-Off<\/a>, happening Saturday, February 21st at noon at Kitalou Gin<\/a>, located at 6008 East County Road 6300.<\/p>\n

After a wildly successful debut last year, this year\u2019s cook-off is shaping up to be even bigger, bolder, and more flavorful–all while supporting a cause that hits close to home: Idalou Meals on Wheels<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Food, Fun, and Friendly Competition<\/p>\n

The Carne Guisada Cook-Off brings together talented local cooks, small businesses, and hungry West Texans for an afternoon that celebrates both food and community. Teams will battle it out for cash prizes for first, second, and third place, with bragging rights on the line for the best carne guisada in the area.<\/p>\n

Beyond the food and fun, the heart of the event is giving back. Proceeds from the cook-off will support Idalou Meals on Wheels, an organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals and meaningful personal connections to local seniors.<\/p>\n
