There\u2019s a new Fort Worth-area barbecue restaurant now open, serving not only BBQ but also brunch: Called Barrel & Bones<\/a>, it’s part of a growing chain with locations in North Dallas<\/a>, The Colony, and Carrollton, and is making its official Tarrant County debut in North Richland Hills, at 9143 Grapevine Hwy., Suite 620, near Precinct Line Road.<\/p>\n

Barrel & Bones is a “globally inspired smokehouse” and craft bar. It serves favorites like smoked brisket, turkey, and sausage. But the menu goes beyond traditional barbecue with creative options like:<\/p>\n

Chicken Tinga TacoSpicy Pastrami Brisket SandwichStuffed Avocado BombSmoked Prime brisket burgersTexican Rice Bowl<\/p>\n

Another point of distinction: They’re a barbecue joint that serves weekend brunch (11 am-3 pm Saturday and Sunday), with Brisket Montecristo, Stuffed French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, Migas Tacos, and more.<\/p>\n

They also keep late-night hours, which is rare for restaurants in the ‘burbs – especially on school nights. They’re open 11 am-2 am daily. They have a big selection of bourbon and whiskey, beer, and cocktails including multiple takes on the Old Fashioned.<\/p>\n

Barrel & Bones offers lunch specials, game-day specials, and daily deals: half-price burgers on Mondays, $2 tacos on Tuesdays, discounted whiskey on Wednesdays; plus happy hour daily from 3-6 pm, and late-night drink specials starting at 10 pm nightly.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to bring Barrel & Bones into Tarrant County. Fans of the restaurant who have visited its DFW locations have been asking us to open a location on this side of the Metroplex for years,\u201d says Mark Kelcher of restaurant-operator Kelcher Entertainment Group, in a release. \u201cIt\u2019s taken a lot of hard work to bring this to life, and we can\u2019t wait for new diners to try us.”<\/p>\n

Grand opening festivities will take place Friday, January 9. Following a 4 pm ribbon cutting, DFW-based singer-guitarist Jack Mason (a one-time contestant on The Bachelor) will take the stage to perform live until 7 pm. Drink specials will run from opening at 11 am till closing at 2 am.<\/p>\n
