PLANO, Texas \u2014 A fatal traffic crash on Dallas Parkway is under investigation by the Plano Police Traffic Unit. The incident, which occurred on January 3, 2026, involved a high-speed collision with a concrete power pole.<\/p>\n
According to a press release from the Plano Police Department, officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the crash at approximately 12:15 p.m. A silver Hyundai Accent, traveling southbound at a high rate of speed, struck the curb, left the roadway, and collided with a concrete power pole. The vehicle then hit an unoccupied Subaru Legacy in a car dealership parking lot before catching fire.<\/p>\n
Witnesses removed the driver, the sole occupant, who was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Nathaniel Molina, of Dallas, Texas. Speed is considered a contributing factor in the crash, and no other individuals were injured, according to the Plano Police Department.
