EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is set to unveil a limited-edition UTEP Miners bobblehead on Jan. 7, coinciding with National Bobblehead Day. <\/p>\n
The bobblehead, officially licensed by The University of Texas at El Paso, will be available for purchase through the museum’s online store. <\/p>\n
Each piece will be individually numbered, with only 2,026 units produced, priced at $35 plus an $8 flat-rate shipping charge.<\/p>\n
Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, expressed excitement about the release. <\/p>\n
We\u2019re excited to be unveiling this new Texas at El Paso bobblehead in conjunction with National Bobblehead Day,” Sklar said. “We know how passionate Texas at El Paso alumni, fans, students, faculty, and staff are about their school and bobbleheads, so we expect these bobbleheads to be extremely popular.<\/p>\n
The University of Texas at El Paso, known for its distinctive Bhutanese-inspired architecture and strong programs in engineering and health sciences, serves over 23,000 students. <\/p>\n
The university’s athletic teams, the Miners, compete in NCAA Division I as members of Conference USA. The Miners’ mascot, Paydirt Pete, symbolizes the institution’s origins as a mining and metallurgy school.<\/p>\n
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, located in Milwaukee, opened to the public in 2019 and produces customized bobbleheads for various organizations and individuals nationwide.<\/p>\n
