After more than two decades serving diners in Frisco, Gloria\u2019s Latin Cuisine has officially opened a new location in Plano, marking both a move and a milestone.<\/p>\n
Now open at 8601 Preston Road, Plano, at the southwest corner of Preston Road and State Highway 121, the restaurant sits just one mile from its former home, making the transition familiar for longtime guests while ushering in a fresh chapter.<\/p>\n
The relocation coincides with a major moment for the brand. Founded in 1986 by Gloria and Jose Fuentes, Gloria\u2019s Latin Cuisine is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, a testament to four decades of Salvadoran flavors, Tex-Mex classics and a loyal North Texas following.<\/p>\n
A Refreshed Space, The Same Beloved Menu<\/p>\n
The new 8,500-square-foot Plano restaurant was built from the ground up and designed to reflect Gloria\u2019s Latin roots with a modern edge. Inside, guests will find vibrant d\u00e9cor, including a Caralarga tapestry and handcrafted pottery from Mexico, alongside an upscale bar and expanded seating.<\/p>\n
One of the standout features is the indoor-outdoor patio dining area, fully climate-controlled to make it comfortable year-round. While the setting is new, the menu remains constant. Fan favorites like pupusas, black bean dip, orange roughy ceviche and the restaurant\u2019s award-winning margaritas continue to anchor the experience.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Next For The Space<\/p>\n
Muchacho Tex-Mex<\/a> from Big Dill Hospitality and award-winning chef\u00a0Omar Flores<\/a> is coming to the former Gloria\u2019s location. This will be Muchacho\u2019s third location and a key milestone in Flores\u2019 growing North Texas footprint. A two-time James Beard\u2013nominated chef, Flores has played a major role in shaping modern Dallas dining, and this new restaurant adds another chapter to his celebrated career.<\/p>\n Muchacho is scheduled to open in spring 2026.
