\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAssembly Park<\/a> added two office tenants in December, according to a news release from Triten Real Estate Partners<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The leases come as the corporate office market in Plano is starting to \u201cramp up\u201d after a slow period during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Esmeralda de la Cruz, Plano\u2019s acting director of Economic Development.<\/p>\n

The details<\/p>\n

High Point<\/a>, a Christian travel organizer, and Porch Warranty<\/a>, a home warranty and protection provider, have both signed leases for office space in Assembly Park, according to the release.<\/p>\n

The companies will join two existing tenants, leaving roughly 135,000 square feet of Assembly Park\u2019s 180,000 square feet of total office space still available.<\/p>\n

Assembly Park also features retail space and over 300 multifamily units, according to previous reporting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The development\u2019s west dining and retail space is now fully occupied by Assembly Icehouse<\/a>, Tacoro Tacos & Tequila<\/a> and Cliff Coffee<\/a>, with just under 10,000 square feet of space still available in the east retail space.<\/p>\n

The rebound<\/p>\n

In addition to Assembly Park, Granite Park and the Legacy business park also signed several new corporate office leases in 2025.<\/p>\n

Doug McDonald, Plano\u2019s former director of Economic Development, previously<\/a> pointed to the gradual return to in-person work and a slowdown in new office construction as reasons for renewed interest in existing and recently-completed developments.<\/p>\n

Among the wave of new tenants, de la Cruz also highlighted the city\u2019s efforts to make sure existing tenants stay in Plano.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to keep them engaged,\u201d she said. \u201cBeing able to see companies land here and then grow is definitely something that we’re very excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n

The backstory<\/p>\n

Triten first received Plano City Council<\/a> approval for its plan to redevelop Plano Market Square Mall in December 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Construction on the development was completed<\/a> in October 2023, and Assembly Park did not welcome its first office tenant until March 2025, according to the development\u2019s social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

McDonald formerly acknowledged that the market for office space was \u201cslower\u201d after the COVID-19 pandemic. De la Cruz echoed that sentiment, noting that the city was surprised by the number of companies that decided to go fully remote instead of returning to in-person work or embracing a hybrid model.<\/p>\n

Looking forward<\/p>\n

De la Cruz expects the office leasing momentum to continue in 2026, citing the Texas Stock Exchange\u2014which will open in Dallas in 2026, dubbed \u201cY\u2019all Street<\/a>\u201d\u2014as a factor in potential growth.<\/p>\n

She indicated that her department is already working with prospective clients who have expressed a desire to relocate to Plano to be closer to Y\u2019all Street.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s definitely very positive,\u201d de la Cruz said of the corporate office market. \u201cIt\u2019s a good trend going into 2026, and we\u2019re very excited to continue that trend.\u201d<\/p>\n
