Back in September, we reported that Salad and Go closed 18 Dallas-area locations as part of a larger shuttering of 41 stores across Texas and Oklahoma. The not-for-long Coppell-based chain said that the slimdown was to strengthen the brand and improve quality. <\/p>\n

Today, the Dallas Business Journal reported<\/a> that Salad and Go is packing up its North Texas headquarters and closing all remaining Texas and Oklahoma restaurants. The chain will relocate its HQ back to Arizona. <\/p>\n

Which is a huge bummer this time of the year, when we\u2019re all looking for big fresh bowls of salad to make us forget the past two months of gluttony. <\/p>\n

According to USR Magazine, CEO Mike Tattersfield wants to slow expansion, focusing on stores in Arizona and Nevada and will grow again when the time is right.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy consolidating our operations at our Phoenix area headquarters,\u201d Tattersfield said in a statement, \u201cwe can focus on what matters most: food quality, menu innovation, guest experience and building for long-term growth.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The company was founded in 2013 and became popular for fast and very affordable salad. With protein. And good dressing. Honestly, it felt like a steal. Maybe it was, turns out.
