{"id":115070,"date":"2026-01-08T04:16:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T04:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/115070\/"},"modified":"2026-01-08T04:16:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T04:16:09","slug":"flour-bluff-gets-its-frosty-fix-with-new-wendys-opening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/115070\/","title":{"rendered":"Flour Bluff gets its Frosty fix with new Wendy\u2019s opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new Wendy\u2019s in Flour Bluff is bringing jobs, school involvement and community partnerships to one of the area\u2019s fastest-growing communities.<\/p>\n<p>CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Flower Bluff added another major franchise to its growing business corridor this week with the opening of its first Wendy\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kiiitv.com\/article\/news\/local\/flour-bluff-mascot-makes-citrus-bowl-debut-help-from-mom\/503-ce3209bc-f30f-468b-86d2-ea0353a2b4d9\" class=\"cms__embed-related-story__link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Flour Bluff mascot makes Citrus Bowl debut with help from mom<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Victoria Vega, Marketing Director for Hart Management, which owns the Flower Bluff Wendy\u2019s, said the franchise chose the Bluff specifically because of strong community demand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very grateful that we are opening a franchise here in Flour Bluff,\u201d Vega said. \u201cA lot of the community requested that we come here and we are very excited and happy that we\u2019re able to give back and open another location here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant is currently the only Wendy\u2019s location serving Flour Bluff.<\/p>\n<p>Vega said the franchise plans to become a long-term community partner by working with local schools, nonprofits and organizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow that we\u2019re new to Flour Bluff, we\u2019re going to get more involved with schools in the community,\u201d Vega said. \u201cWe also want to be that staple to give back by offering jobs and being involved with schools and nonprofits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>General Manager Daniel Gallegos said the restaurant has already hired between 35 and 50 employees, with about 45 currently on the schedule.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started hiring about a month and a half ago and trained employees at another location so we could open fully prepared,\u201d Gallegos said. \u201cWe are continuing to hire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wendy\u2019s District Manager Jacob Samaniego said the restaurant has received a strong reception from the community since opening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve received a very warm reception from everyone.
