<\/a>Manolito Espino died after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Ayers Street in Corpus Christi and transported to a local hospital.<\/p>\n\nA vehicle struck a pedestrian in the 3300 block of Ayers Street near Del Mar College at 6:20 p.m. Saturday. Investigators determined the pedestrian was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision.<\/p>\n
\nManolito Espino, 69, was identified by the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office. Officers arrived to find him with serious injuries and provided first aid until medics arrived. He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed later that evening.<\/p>\n
\nThe driver remained at the scene. No additional details have been released regarding impairment or charges.<\/p>\n
