Evidence presented at trial showed the child suffered severe injuries while alone with Lopez.<\/p>\n<p>Corpus Christi police were called to the apartment complex after Lopez reported the child was not breathing. Medics treated the toddler at the scene and rushed the child to a hospital, where the child later died.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators discovered injuries consistent with abuse and arrested Lopez on an outstanding warrant. This is a breaking news story.
