League City Parkway right turn lane<\/p>\n
Project: An eastbound right-turn lane will be designed west of Butler Road to west of the I-45 southbound frontage road, and tie to the Texas Department of Transportation\u2019s right-turn lane.<\/p>\n
Update: Construction is ongoing.<\/p>\n

Extension of Hobbs Road to FM 517<\/p>\n
Project:<\/p>\n
Approximately 1,880 feet of four-lane divided urban roadway will be constructed from the existing terminus south of the intersection of Patagonia Street and Hobbs Road to FM 517.<\/p>\n
Update: The project plans are near completion, and are currently in right-of-way acquisition and TxDOT permitting phase, which will take the next several months.<\/p>\n
Timeline: anticipated bid date by late summer, pending ROW acquisition, with construction starting as early as late fall 2026 or early 2027Cost: $7.7 millionFunding source: Galveston County and city fundsFM 518 at Bay Area Boulevard intersection improvements<\/p>\n
Project: <\/p>\n
To improve intersection capacity and safety, the project scope includes adding a long southbound right-turn lane and extending the existing northbound left-turn lane from 135 feet to 350 feet.<\/p>\n
Update: Project plans are in review, with bidding beginning in the summer.<\/p>\n
