{"id":116336,"date":"2026-01-09T01:45:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T01:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/116336\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T01:45:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T01:45:09","slug":"el-paso-man-charged-with-criminal-solicitation-of-a-minor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/116336\/","title":{"rendered":"El Paso man charged with criminal solicitation of a minor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) &#8212; Steven Kelly Auston is charged with criminal solicitation of a minor.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents obtained by ABC-7 allege that Auston made an indecent proposal to a teenager.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened on December 13, 2025, outside of an El Paso grocery store.<\/p>\n<p>The court documents state that during his interaction with the teenager, Auston asked the victim if he or she did drugs.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Auston.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1437871\"\/>Courtesy: EPPD<\/p>\n<p>Investigators allege that Auston then made his indecent proposal and offered the victim money.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents state that the victim was then able to safely return to his or her family. A family member then alerted police.<\/p>\n<p>Jail records show that Auston was booked into the Downtown Jail on a $50,000 on December 23, 2025.
