The annual announcement of the RODEOHOUSTON\u00ae artist lineup is nearly as anticipated as the event itself. When it takes over NRG Stadium for the month of March, it is always a spectacle for the food, the carnival, the cowboy-ing and certainly the music. <\/p>\n

This year is no different with a diverse lineup of stars, mostly from the world of country, but also from across the spectrum of music. <\/p>\n

Prior to the announcement RodeoHouston did something they\u2019ve never done before. They did a pop-up show in Times Square on Wednesday. In what must have been a culture shock for a lot of native New Yorkers, country star Russell Dickerson (who will perform at the rodeo on March 5) performed along with a cadre of cowboy-hat-wearing line dancers. Quite the scene.<\/p>\n

Some of the biggest names in this year\u2019s lineup are newcomers to the event including Lizzo, Shaboozey and Creed. Lizzo, who grew up in Houston, will make her first rodeo appearance. The \u201cGood as Hell\u201d singer has only performed sporadically over the last two years, but is poised to bring the funk to a hometown crowd. Shaboozey brings a dose of country-inflected hip hop while Creed represents the one rock music offering this year.<\/p>\n

Other newcomers include influential San Antonio-born Pepe Aguilar \u2014 who will perform on Go Tejano day immediately following the Go Tejano Mariachi Invitational Championship \u2014 country pop star, Alabama group Red Clay Strays, Texas country rocker Koe Wetzel, Megan Moroney, whose new album Cloud 9 drops in February, and Christian singer Forrest Frank, who is from Fulshear and the grandson of well respected Houston meteorologist Neil Frank, who passed away last month.<\/p>\n

Stalwarts of RodeoHouston Tim McGraw (11th appearance) and Luke Bryan (13th appearance) are back along with rising star Riley Green (second straight year), riding high off his award winning duet \u201cYou Look Like You Love Me.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Aguilar, Colombian-born Latin superstar J Balvin will add to the event\u2019s Latin flair with his signature reggaeton to NRG. <\/p>\n

A few interesting names who have not graced the rodeo stage in 20 years also return this year including fan favorite Dwight Yoakum, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and pop star\/talk show host, Kelly Clarkson, who hasn\u2019t appeared at the event since 2004, just two years after the singer won season one of American Idol.<\/p>\n

Naturally, this wouldn\u2019t be a rodeo schedule without some big name country stars like Rascal Flatts, Lainey Wilson, Parker McCullom, and the ever soulful crossover hit Chris Stapleton. Also, for just the fourth time in RodeoHouston history, there will be a concert-only day featuring Cody Johnson on closing night where there will be no rodeo events prior to the performance. The last time this happened was the final night of the event in 2022 with George Strait.<\/p>\n

Per a press release, tickets will go on sale at rodeohouston.com\/tickets<\/a> Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, in two waves, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wave 1 tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. for March 2 \u2013 March 11 performances. Wave 2 tickets go on sale at 2 p.m. for March 12 \u2013 21 performances. Ticket prices start at $30, plus a $5 convenience fee.<\/p>\n
