Shoppers line up for fresh food, specialty items, and opening-day excitement at Sprouts\u2019 newest Southside location.<\/p>\n

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 It felt a little like Black Friday Friday morning as Sprouts Farmers Market officially opened the doors to its brand-new Corpus Christi location along Everhart Road in the Southside Business Improvement District.<\/p>\n

Early risers lined up outside the impressive new building, ready to be among the first shoppers inside\u2014and ready for a full weekend of grand opening celebrations.<\/p>\n

One of those early birds was Debbie Marchant, a longtime Sprouts customer who didn\u2019t mind waiting her turn.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe growth in Corpus Christi is pretty exciting,\u201d Marchant said. \u201cI\u2019ve shopped here for many years since I\u2019ve been back in retirement, and we just thought, why not? We\u2019re retired\u2014it\u2019d be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

The larger store means more space, more products, and more of what shoppers already love for Marchant, which includes discovering what\u2019s new\u2014and picking up a favorite treat.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ll be able to deliver more with the bigger store,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I really like their cranberry muffins, so I\u2019m looking forward to grabbing one of those.\u201d<\/p>\n

Customers say Sprouts continues to stand out because of its fresh bakery, produce, and specialty items for people with dietary needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe products are fresh, and the bakery is fresh right there,\u201d Marchant explained. \u201cThey have so many options for people with allergies. When my sister visits, I can always find things here that she can eat.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the line continued to grow behind her, excitement only built. Shoppers were handed reusable bags and hoped for a few coupons tucked inside\u2014just another bonus for opening day.<\/p>\n

And yes, the moment may be worthy of sharing on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cI might take pictures and post it,\u201d Marchant laughed. \u201cSay I was one of the first.\u201d<\/p>\n
