The Bearcats lead the all-time series over Texas Tech, 3-0, winning the last matchup 59-56 on Feb. 19, 2025 in Lubbock.<\/p>\n<p>With the win against the Arizona Wildcats last Saturday, the Lady Raiders achieved yet another milestone&#8230; Earning the best start in program history at 16-0 to begin the year. Now 17-0, Tech&#8217;s 4-0 start to Big 12 is also the best start to conference play since 2004-05. The 31-point win against Arizona (80-49) is also the best regular-season conference victory since the 87-41 defeat of Colorado on Jan. 15, 2005. With their win at WVU on Wednesday, the Lady Raiders earned their first win in Morgantown since 2015. Texas Tech is also one of four undefeated teams left in the nation and the sole leader of the Big 12.<\/p>\n<p>Tech ranks 38th nationally in field goal percentage (.461). All Lady Raiders in the normal 9-player rotation are shooting .400 or better in field goals on the season. Six of those nine are also shooting .450 or above as <a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/jada-malone\/13900\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13900\" target=\"_blank\">Jada Malone<\/a> leads the team with a 68.9 percent shooting clip. The Lady Raiders have outshot all of their opposition this season, posting higher field goal percentages in all 17 games so far. The team&#8217;s season high field goal percentage was 54.2 percent (29-for-56) versus Texas State on Nov. 9, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Senior <a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/bailey-maupin\/13897\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13897\" target=\"_blank\">Bailey Maupin<\/a> is cool, calm and collected. Against West Virginia, she recorded 27 points on 8-for-15 shooting (.571) from the field and 4-for-7 (.533) from behind the arc, with 13 of those points coming in the fourth quarter. Leading the team in points, 3-pointers, assists (3) and free throws (7) in that game, Maupin ties for the team lead with 15 double-figure scoring games as well as three 20+ point scoring games. She also leads the Lady Raiders with 35 threes, 55 free throws and 15.1 points per game.<\/p>\n<p>Point guard Gemma N\u00fa\u00f1ez has helped the Lady Raiders facilitate the ball tremendously this season. The team leader in assists (94) and steals (40), N\u00fa\u00f1ez ranks 13th nationally and third in the Big 12 in assist to turnover ratio (3.13). Her 91 assists are 15th nationally, while her 5.5 assists per game is good for 24th. In addition, N\u00fa\u00f1ez is second in the Big 12 and 41st in the nation in steals. N\u00fa\u00f1ez leads the team with seven games with three or more steals as well as with 12 games totaling five or more assists.<\/p>\n<p>SCOUTING THE OPPONENT<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nThe Cincinnati Bearcats are 6-10 overall and 1-3 in Big 12 play. Their key wins come against New Mexico, UNLV and most-recently against No. 11 Iowa State for their first conference win this year. They&#8217;ve picked up losses against Penn State, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Colorado. The Bearcats are averaging 71.6 points per game and holding opponents to 70.5 points per game. Shooting 41.3 percent from the field, Cincinnati is also averaging 41.2 rebounds per game and 13.4 assists per game. There are three Bearcats averaging double-figure scoring this season in Mya Perry (18.3ppg), Caliyah DeVillasee (16.0ppg) and Reagan Jackson (10.5ppg).
