AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting at the Cambria Hotel, Austin police say. The incident occurred on January 5, 2026, when officers responded to a gunshot report and found 19-year-old Luke Bradburn deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n
According to a press release from the Austin Police Department, the shooting happened at approximately 6:55 a.m. at 68 East Avenue #824. The investigation revealed that Bradburn had crashed a vehicle belonging to Maximillian Salinas, of Austin, Texas, earlier that day. After the crash, Bradburn and other occupants fled to the hotel, where Salinas allegedly shot him.<\/p>\n
Salinas was arrested on January 6, 2026, and charged with murder. This case marks Austin’s third homicide of the year.
