The City of Dallas has awarded an economic development incentive to Atl\u00e9tico Dallas to support the relocation of the club\u2019s corporate headquarters from Richardson to Dallas, according to a city announcement<\/a> issued January 9.<\/p>\n

The incentive, structured as a conditional grant, is intended to support tenant improvements and business expansion within Expo Park, a City-designated Economic Development Target Area near Fair Park. City officials said the relocation is expected to contribute to job creation, neighborhood activation, and year-round community engagement.<\/p>\n

Atl\u00e9tico Dallas plans to lease approximately 12,000 square feet at 820 Exposition Avenue, near the gates of Fair Park and the DART Fair Park Station. The new headquarters will include roughly 1,500 square feet of street-facing retail space that will serve as the club\u2019s official retail shop.<\/p>\n

Across the street, at 827 and 829 Exposition Avenue, the club is planning a supporters bar tentatively named The Den at Expo Park. The project includes a 6,000-square-foot bar and restaurant, along with a 10,000-square-foot patio and beer garden. The outdoor space will feature the club\u2019s first street soccer court, which city officials said is intended to expand public access to the sport and activate the surrounding area.<\/p>\n

The street soccer court is expected to open ahead of the FIFA World Cup this June, while the supporters bar is slated to open later this summer.<\/p>\n

The announcement comes as interest in the 2026 FIFA World Cup has surged, with FIFA reporting more than 150 million ticket requests during the initial sales phase, as previously reported<\/a> by The Dallas Express.<\/p>\n

According to the city, Atl\u00e9tico Dallas will retain 12 existing jobs and create up to 85 new positions over the next five years. The roles are expected to include front office, executive, professional, administrative, coaching, and player positions, with an emphasis on local hiring.<\/p>\n

The city said the club will also partner with Dallas College on a workforce development initiative designed to create career pathways for local students.<\/p>\n

The street soccer court represents the first phase of a broader collaboration with Kyle Martino and Street FC, which city officials said aligns with Atl\u00e9tico Dallas\u2019 longer-term goal of expanding public play spaces across Dallas.<\/p>\n
