Following a nationwide search, Chamberlin will step into the role of athletic director this July, taking the reins from Leigh Block, who has guided the program since 2021, according to a release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With more than 15 years in athletic administration, hands-on coaching experience, and a proven track record of developing student-athletes both on and off the field, Chamberlin\u2019s resume speaks for itself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBarry brings a dynamic vision and a strong commitment to building meaningful relationships with students, coaches, and families,\u201d said Eric Lombardi, FWCD\u2019s head of school. \u201cWe look forward to the positive impact his leadership will have on our athletics program and the FWCD community as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chamberlin currently steers the ship at Carrollwood Day School in Tampa, Florida, overseeing 23 varsity sports and more than 90 coaches and staff. There, he led nearly $1 million in upgrades to athletic facilities, proving he\u2019s as comfortable in the boardroom as he is on the court. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Saint Mary\u2019s Hall in San Antonio, where he served as athletic director and head boys basketball coach, shaping both programs and players with a steady hand.<\/p>\n<p>A Pennsylvania native, Chamberlin earned his master\u2019s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University in Irvine, California, and his bachelor\u2019s in multi-age physical education from Cedarville University in Ohio, where he was a four-year starter and team captain for the basketball team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was drawn to Fort Worth Country Day by its outstanding reputation and the strong alignment between the school\u2019s core values and my own,\u201d Chamberlin said in a statement. \u201cI am incredibly enthusiastic about the future of Falcon athletics and excited to support our coaches and student-athletes as they work to maximize their talents and reach their full potential.
