El Paso Water officials and city leaders will hold a press conference on Monday at 3 p.m. following the major water main break that happened on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Leaders and officials are set to provide an update.<\/p>\n
The press conference will be held at the El Paso Regional Communications Center, located at 6055 Threadgill Ave.<\/p>\n
The water main break near the intersection of Girl Scout and Transmountain in Northeast El Paso has left approximately 38,000 customers and 100,000 people without water service.<\/p>\n
The incident, which occurred Sunday morning, has affected residents in Northeast and parts of Central El Paso.<\/p>\n
Full restoration of water service could take up to 72 hours, and EPWater is urging residents and businesses to minimize water use and suspend all non-essential activities during this period.<\/p>\n
Customers who currently have water may still experience outages as crews work to refill reservoirs and stabilize the system.<\/p>\n
Due to low water pressure and drained reservoirs, EPWater has issued a precautionary boil water notice.<\/p>\n
